Health Insurance
ACA (Obama Care, Marketplace)
A health insurance plan that meets the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. It covers essential health benefits like doctor visits, prescriptions, preventive care, and hospital stays, and cannot deny coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Private Plans
Affordable, flexible coverage for limited and long term periods—often used by healthy, self-employed individuals as an alternative to higher priced Marketplace plans. These plans do not cover pre-existing conditions.
Group Insurance
Health coverage offered to a small group, typically through an employer. Employer contribution toward employee premiums varies by state, with a minimum of 50% coverage.
Supplemental Insurance
Fixed Indemnity
Pays a set cash amount for specific medical services—such as doctor visits, hospital stays, or lab work—regardless of the actual bill. Not ACA-compliant, these plans work best as supplemental coverage, often chosen by healthy, self-employed individuals to help manage routine healthcare costs.
Accident + AD&D (optional Illness Rider)
Provides lump sum benefits if you’re injured due to an accident or suffer accidental death or dismemberment. With the optional illness rider, benefits extend to covered illnesses or hospitalization.
Critical Illness
Pays a lump-sum cash benefit directly to you if you’re diagnosed with a serious illness including cancer, heart attack, or stroke, helping cover medical or living expenses.
Cancer, Heart Attack, and Stroke Plans
Provides cash benefits upon initial diagnoses of cancer, heart attack, or stroke—helping cover medical costs and daily living expenses during recovery.
Life Insurance
Provides financial protection for your loved ones by paying a cash benefit to chosen beneficiaries after your death. Term Life offers a set period at lower cost, while Whole Life (or Universal Life) lasts your lifetime and builds cash value.
Dental/Vision
● Dental: Helps cover the cost of routine care such as cleanings, exams, and X-rays, as well as treatments like fillings, crowns, or root canals. Plans often include preventive care at little or no cost.
● Vision: Helps cover routine eye care, including exams, glasses, and contact lenses, at reduced out-of-pocket cost.
Travel Coverage
Protects you while traveling, in the US or abroad, by covering unexpected medical emergencies, trip interruptions, and other travel-related risks. With more health plans reverting to HMO’s, not covering out of the home state, travel coverage protects against unexpected incidents.
